In Texas, football is a way of life. I'm not a big sports fan but it's hard not to be infected by the enthusiasm that is found in Texas football. In small towns, like the ones I visited in the west Texas panhandle, 6 man football is the game and almost every member of the community comes out to watch.

I'm often asked what to wear to a family portrait session. For fall sessions, jewel tones and neutrals look beautiful against a fall backdrop of golden leaves. Reds, blacks, and plaids are great if you are planning on using the images for holiday cards. I am available for styling sessions to help you plan your families look.
Here are some highlights from a recent trip to Texas, where my cousin and his lovely wife took me on a photography spree of the colorful Design District in Dallas and the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge. I also had a chance to visit some of my favorite haunts from my hometown - Fort Worth aka "Funkytown" aka "The Fort." Cowboy heritage runs deep in the town that was the birthplace of the west and is home to the Cowgirl Hall of Fame and the Fort Worth Stockyards.
I just unearthed some film from a few summers ago when I was playing around with some plastic toys cameras. I'm definitely looking forward to warmer weather and these photos are the perfect warm up to blue sky and beaches.

United Way of Anderson County held their annual "Taste of Anderson County" last Thursday. Funds raised go to support positive changes in the community. I was so happy to give back to the community by providing photography for the event.

I love Texas, my home state, so much. I photographed my beautiful niece on the Texas plains on a recent visit. I think there are few places in the world where you can find light as magical as the light in Texas.
This little firecracker was a blast to photograph. She kept me on my toes! I can't wait to photograph her again with the rest of her fun family!
